At a heavy clap of thunder the mule jumped, throwing the mother and her young son under the wagon. Mrs. Powell was only slightly bruised. It is understood the little one’s neck was broken. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 1 o’clock, burial in the Enigma cemetery. The last rites were conducted by Rev. A.N. Hammond of Enigma. The child was the only one of Mr. and Mrs. Powell, and they have a large host of relatives and friends who sympathize with them in their loss.
