Infant Powell Son Killed in Runaway
	Elman David Powell, two-month old son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Powell, who 
reside near Alapaha, was almost instantly killed Monday afternoon about 5 
o’clock when a mule pulling a wagon ran away, one of the wagon wheels passing 
over his head.
	At a heavy clap of thunder the mule jumped, throwing the mother and her 
young son under the wagon.  Mrs. Powell was only slightly bruised.  It is 
understood the little one’s neck was broken.
	Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 1 o’clock, burial in the 
Enigma cemetery.  The last rites were conducted by Rev. A.N. Hammond of Enigma.
	The child was the only one of Mr. and Mrs. Powell, and they have a large 
host of relatives and friends who sympathize with them in their loss.
