 Samuel Lee Raines, 56, of Nashville died May 3, 2008 at his residence.
 Born July 30, 1951 in Lanier County to Helon Louise Bradford Raines of Val
Valdosta and the late Ned Raines, he worked as a heavy equipment operator. In add
addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Henry Raines and
and David Raines.
 Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife, Ellen Louise Ford Ba
Barnes of Nashville; stepson, Manuel Rendon, Jr. of Nashville, three st
stepdaughters, Laurie Ann (Robert) Harper of Nashville, Donna Marie Whittington of
of Nashville, and Richelle Louise Watts of St. Augustine, FL; three sisters, Ka
Katie (Frank) Gamble of Valdosta, Jerldean Jenkins of Lakeland, Earlean (Jerry) Ga
Gay of Ray City; five brothers, Wayne (Joanne) Raines of Valdosta, Henry Lee (E
(Evelyn) Raines of Valdosta, Eugene Raines of Valdosta, Ned (Florence) Raines of
of Deltona, FL, and Ulysee (Mary) Raines of FL; three aunts, Martice Buford of La
Lakeland, Verlie (Isaac) Parker of Jacksonville, FL, Vicealee Dallas of Daytona Be
Beach, FL, two uncles, Calvin and Quentin Nealy, both of Jacksonville, FL and se
several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
 Funeral services will be held May 8 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Lovein Funeral H
Home with the Rev. Terry Ford officiating. 
 Lovein Funeral Home of Nashville is in charge of arrangements.
