 Earl Richard “Dick” Reed, 65, of Nashville died June 17, 2014, at South Georgia 
Medical Center.
 He was born October 8, 1948, in Warren, PA to the late Paul and Vivian York 
Reed. He was a retired mechanist with Specialty Conversion in Nashville and a 
member of Community United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by two 
sons, Dennis McEldowney and Jason McEldowney.
 He is survived by his wife, Donna Mudge Reed of Nashville; daughter, Michelle 
(Keith) Thompson of Nashville; son, Jamie (Christie) McEldowney of Shelbyville, 
Kentucky; two sisters, Anita Caldwell and Shirley Petty, both of Corry, PA; two 
brothers, Paul Reed of Corry and Saniel Reed of Winston Salem, NC; five 
grandchildren, Kayla, Kyle, Kelsey, Jesse, and Jillian; two great-grandchildren, 
Karter and Cooper. 
 The family has honored his request for cremation. A memorial service was held 
June 21 at 2 p.m. at Community United Methodist Church with Rev. Don Bridges 
officiating.
 Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
