 David E. Rentz, 56, of Central, SC, died May 3, 2007 at Anderson Medical 
Center.
 Born December 4, 1950 in Clark County to Helen Dunlap Rentz of Nashville and 
the late Felton Lamar Rentz, he was a nuclear engineer instructor. He attended 
Kings Grove Baptist Church in Six Mile, SC. He was a Navy veteran with nuclear 
submarine duty.
 Survivors include his wife, Shirley Rowe Rentz of Central, SC; daughter, 
Chelly Rentz of Buckeye, AZ; son, Dave Rentz of Cleveland, OH; stepdaughters, 
Dawn Cribb of San Angelo, TX and Amanda Cribb of Valdosta; stepson, Barry Cribb 
of Valdsota; brother, Keith Rentz of Kissimmee, FL; sisters, Patricia 
Barrentine and Rita Gandy, both of Nashville, and Kay Bennett of Sylvester; 
four granddaughters, five step grandchildren.
 Funeral services were held May 7 at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Lovein Funeral 
Home with the Revs. Billy Southerland and Norman Dunlap officiating. 
Appropriate music was provided.
 Interment was in Nashville Memorial Gardens.
 Selected family members served as pallbearers.
 Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
