Born February 13, 1934 in Nashville to the late William Marcus Richards, Sr., and Mamie Griner Richardson McEuen. He spent over 40 years in the paper mill business in Georgia and Arkansas. He started at Clyattville in Valdosta and then moved to Direcks in Pine Bluff in 1957. He came to Morrilton in 1966 to help start up Arkansas Kraft from which he retired in 1997 as recovery and pulp mill foreman. He served in the Marines and was a member of Masonic Lodge 105. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. His life was filled with love and passion, which ranged from family and friends to living his life to the fullest. His zest for traveling gave him the chance to see all but three of the United States. His love for fishing gave him and many of his friends and family many fish fries and good times together. These fellowships meant so much to him. Survivors include his devoted wife of 25 years, Sheila Ann Gardner Richardson; his daughter, Melissa Ann Stone and husband, Jerry, of Lovell; his son, Mark Allan Richardson of Plumerville; one granddaughter, Elizabeth Nicole Carter and husband, Rusty of Greenbrier; four stepdaughters, Sabrina Kay Carson of Arkadelphia, Montye Lee Mickelson and husband, Jon, of Kissessvilles, Missouri, Leslee Ann Tell and her husband, Tim, of Conway, and Kaylan Deann Ellis and husband, Dru of Alma. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on October 20 at the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in the presence of a large gathering of relatives and friends. A private burial will be held at a later date. Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton was in charge of arrangements.
