 Alvin Howard Riner, 82, of Alapaha died Jan. 15, 2010, at Tift Regional Medic
Medical Center.
 He was born May 9, 1927, in Emanuel County to the late Neal and Maebell McGee Rine
Riner. He was a retired President and Chairman of the Board Emeritus for the Bank
Bank of Alapaha, a member and deacon of Spring Hill Primitive Baptist Church, a
form
former member of the Berrien County Board of Education, a member of the Alapaha
Lion
Lions Club, Nashville Post VFW and a Navy veteran of WWII.
 Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Brogdon Riner of Alapaha, and son, Hugh Rin
Riner of Jacksonville, FL.
 Funeral services were held Jan. 18 at 2 p.m. at Spring Hill Primitive Baptist Ch
Church with Elders Mickey Harris and Paul Thomas officiating. Alice Harris pr
provided organ music including "Amazing Grace."
 Pallbearers were M.F. Roberts, Dave Harper, Woodrow Woods, Elliotte McDaniel, B
Billy Paulk, Carroll Roberts.
 Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
