 J. P. Roberts, 86, of Alapaha died Sunday, November 22, 2015, at his residence.
 He was born May 25, 1929, in Berrien County to the late Daniel Roberts and the 
late Rebecca Mobley. He was a retired truck driver with the Berrien County Road 
Department and a member of New Griffin Missionary Baptist Church. He was 
preceded in death by three brothers, Winston, Wilson and M.F. Roberts.
 He is survived by his companion, Lorine Pafford of Alapaha; two sisters, Toni 
Wright of Tifton and Grace Melton of Batesville, AR; three grandchildren, six 
great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
 Funeral services were held on Wednesday, November 25 at 11 a.m. at New Griffin 
Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Sim Youngblood and Rev. Billy Roberts 
officiating.
 Interment was in Flat Creek Cemetery.
 Lovein Funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
