He was born on Nov. 26, 1929, in Berrien County to James Steve and Emma Lewis Rogers. He was employed by Chaparral Boats, was an Army veteran who served during the Korean Conflict and was a Baptist by faith. He is survived by his wife, Marnell Junkins Rogers, Melrose, FL; three daughters, Dora Thomas, Palatka, FL, Debra Chambliss, Starke, FL, Donna Feagan, Palatka; four sons, Steven Rogers, Nashville, Scotty Rogers, Tifton, Ronald Chambliss, Raleigh, N.C., William Chambliss, Starke; three grandsons; three sisters, Dot Mathis, Marie Holbrook and Helen Davis all of Nashville and one brother, Donald Rogers of Nashville. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 11, 2003, in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy Hall officiating. Burial will be in Poplar Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be held after 4 p.m. today with the family receiving friends from 7-9 p.m. Lovein Funeral Home, Nashville.
