He was born on Jan. 27, 1935 in Berrien County to the late Mathy and Martha Ray Rogers. He was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Rogers, who died in 1990, and a great-grandson, Bryce Coleman. Survivors include his wife, Mary O'Berry Rogers of Nashville; daughter, Sherry Brogdon, Douglas; seven sons, Larry (Pam) Rogers, Valdosta, Terry Rogers, Gary Rogers, Perry (Lynn) Rogers, Harvey Rogers, Randy (Terri) Rogers, all of Nashville, David (Melanie) Rogers, Cecil; 16 grandchildren, 11 great- grandchildren. The family acknowledges the professional medical care received at Tift Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. June 13 in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Clarence Luke officiating. Songs on CD included "Go Rest High on That Mountain," "Daddy's Hands" and "Precious Memories." Interment was in Westview Cemetery. Pallbearers were Justin Smith, Virgil Larney, Kevin Coleman, Hosea Ortiz, Eddie Skelton, Dee O'Berry. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
