Born September 17, 1917 in Colquitt County to the late Sam and Julia Hancock Walker, she was a homemaker and member of Vickers Church. Survivors include her husband, John Woodrow "J.W." Roland of Nashville; two daughters, Grace Stone of Lakeland and Joyce Spradley of Kingsland; five sons, John Woodrow Roland, Jr. of Newberry, FL, Johnny Roland of Hahira, Larry Roland and Donald Roland both of Nashville, Russell Roland of Alapaha; three sisters, Bell Grimes of Dunedin, FL, Elouise Gardiner of Beverly Hills, FL, Betty Ellis of Tifton; two brothers, Carroll Gray of Cullman, AL and Eugene Gray of Enigma. Funeral services were held March 16 at 2 p.m. at Vickers Church with Rev. Billy Walker officiating. The Billy Walker family sang "He'll Hold To My Hand" and "I Don't Regret a Mile I've Traveled for the Lord." Interment was in Vickers Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jason Roland, Matt Vollrath, Gerald Cribb, Tommy Wade, Ed Wade, Jamie Wade.
