RAY CITY -- Lawana Rossi, 81, of Ray City died Thursday May 8, 2003, at South 
Georgia Medical Center.
 She was born on Dec. 3, 1921 in Berrien County to James and Marian Simpson 
Griffin. She was a homemaker and member of Ray City United Methodist Church. 
She was the widower of Daniel P. Rossi and also was preceded in death by son, 
Darrell Joyce, who was killed while on active duty in Vietnam.
 She is survived by two granddaughters, Donna Burgess and Karen Lanciault, 
both San Antonio, TX.; three great grandchildren; three sisters, Lois Watson, 
Nashville, Jimmie Ree Martin, Ray City and Nina Billingsley of Tallahassee, FL.
 Graveside funeral service will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday May 11, 2003 in 
Beaver Dam Cemetery in Ray City with the Rev. Wayne Mitchell and Mr. Billy 
Creech officiating. There will be no visitation.
 Lovein Funeral Home, Nashville.
