Born Nov. 12, 1955, in Cook County to Jessie A. Rowan, Jr., of Nashville and t the late Evelyn Griffin, he was disabled due to an automobile accident. Prior t to that he was a farmer and owned a gas station in Enigma. He was of the B Baptist faith. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Derril Allen Rowan Survivors, in addition to his father, include his companion, Elizabeth Lucille Brown of Nashville; a brother and sister-in-law, Mikell and Marie Rowan of Nash Nashville; five stepchildren, Samantha (Nickey) Griffin of Adel, Donnie (Robin) Brow Brown and Julie Ann (Dewayne) Mathis, all of Sparks, J.W. (Teresa) Brown of Nash Nashville, Michael Tomlinson of Arabi; four grandchildren, numerous nieces and neph nephews. Funeral services were held Feb. 22 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Hom Home with the Rev. Willie Heath officiating. Songs on CD included "Go Rest High on on the Mountain," "Amazing Grace," and "When I Get Where I'm Going." Interment was in Long Bridge Cemetery. Pallbearers were Timmy Harnage, Matthew Harnage, Bill Tyson, Randy McCorvey, P Pernell McCorvey, Jackie Rowan, Terry Smith, Ronnie Griner, Lamar Grimesley.
