She was born January 25, 1937 in Winter Haven, FL to the late Leo and Stella Rowe Pickard. She was a homemaker and retired banker with 40 years service. She was the former Enigma branch manager for the Bank of Alapaha. She served 22 years on the Enigma City Council and was a member of Enigma Congregational Christian Church. She is survived by her husband, Robert Alvin "Bobby" Rowan of Enigma; two daughters, Lindie Bakers of Waycross and Laurie Baker (Rick) Whitworth of Lavonia, step-son, Edward Rowan of Athens; step-daughter, Ferris (Adeeb) Fakhoury Fakhoury of Mills River, NC; brother, Bud Pickard of Enigma; nine grandchildren and a great-grandson. A private family interment was held at Enigma City Cemetery. A memorial service was held December 14 at 11 a.m. at the Enigma Gym with the Rev. Mark Stone officiating.
