 Christopher Dewayne Rowan, 17, of Nashville died January 22, 2014, at his 
residence.
 He was born October 31, 1996, in Lowndes County to Gene Rowan and Brenda June 
Powell. “He was a loving son and brother who loved the outdoors and life. We 
love you and we know you had big dreams.” He was preceded in death by a sister, 
Misty Dawn Yeoman.
 He is survived by his mother, Brenda Powell (Jay Hawkins) of Nashville; father, 
Gene Rowan of Quitman; brother, Brandon Rowan of Nashville; four sisters, Sara 
Rowan (Christopher McDonald) of Sparks, Brandy Rowell (Michael Herndon) of 
Nashville, Rhonda Rowan of Sparks and Jenny Rowan of Adel; special aunt and 
uncle, Shaun and Tanya Boyer of Adel; special friends, Jay Hawkins, Jr., Shae 
Catlett, Kathy Garcia, all of Nashville.
 The family appreciates your thoughts and prayers. A memorial service will be 
held at a later date.
 Lovein Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
