Born August 15, 1933 in Berrien County to the late Luther and Pearl McNabb Rowe, he was a retired tobacco grader with the U. S. Department of Agriculture and was owner/operator of Betty's Bait and Tackle. He was a member of Flat Creek Baptist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was married to the late Karen Pittman Rowe. Survivors include two daughters, Phyllis Sparks of Ray City and Kathy Ball of Tifton; three brothers, Eston Rowe and William Henry "Buddy" Rowe, both of Nashville and Dorian Rowe of Statesboro; seven grandchildren. Funeral services were held June 30 at 4 p.m. at Flat Creek Baptist Church with the Revs. Mickey Lindsey and Gary James officiating. Music was provided by the church choir, accompanied by Tammy Kent. Interment was in Flat Creek Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Terry Harper, Doug Harper, Greg McClellan, Tony Overstreet, Barry McMillan, Jody Pittman, Johnny Rowe, and Ronnie Rowe. Honorary pallbearers were Dinner Bell coffee drinkers and members of the motorcycle riding club. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
