 Geraldine Rowe, 88, of Alapaha died Nov. 30, 2009, at Berrien County Hospital.

 Born Feb. 13, 1921, in Berrien County to the late J. Walton and Julia Rowe 
Hendley, she was a homemaker and member of Flat Creek Baptist Church. She was 
the widow of William Henry "Buddy" Rowe, who died in 2007.

 She is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Judie and Ronald Rowland 
of Chattanooga, TN and Glenda Braswell, Alapaha; five grandchildren, Michael 
(Renee) Rowland, Rincon, Kimberly (Steve) McMillan, Nashville, Tim Rowland, 
Lake Butler, FL., Kay (John) Townsend, Parrish, FL., Jackie (Jimmy) Sparks, 
Alapaha; four great-grandchildren, Drew and Jackson Sparks, Emilie Rowland and 
Mark McMillan; three sisters, Wynelle Powell, Albany, Brewnell Thaw, St. Simons 
Island, Nannell McWhorter, Newnan.

 She was preceded in death by a grandson, Chris Griner, and a brother, Rudolph 
Hendley.

 Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Dec. 3 at Flat Creek Baptist Church 
with the Revs. Mickey Lindsey, Gary James and Mark Swain officiating. Becky 
Futch sang "Lillies of the Valley" and Gary James, Becky Futch, Angie 
Cornelius, and Rodney Cornelius sang "I'll Be Home Before Dark," accompanied by 
Tammy Kent, pianist.

 Interment was in Flat Creek Cemetery.

 Pallbearers were Steve McMillan, Jimmy Sparks, Drew Sparks, John Townsend, 
Keith Powell, Junior McGee, George McMahon, Neal Rohrbach.

 Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
