She was born on April 8, 1923, in Berrien County to the late Bud and Annie Liza Guthrie Jones. She was a homemaker and worked at Nashville Mills as a machinist and was a member of Calvary Temple Holiness Church. She was the widow of Red Rutherford, who died in 1984. She served in the WAC during World War II. She is survived by three daughters, Evelyn Baldree, Marie Hughes and Virginia Rutherford, all of Nashville; two sons, June Rutherford of Crawfordville and James Rutherford of Nashville; 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Jimmy Rutherford and Billy Rutherford. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Aug. 30 at Vickers Church with the Rev. Mickey Lindsey officiating. Greg Shoupe sang "Go Rest High on That Mountain" and "Will the Circle Be Unbroken," accompanied by Mike Ritchie, guitarist. "When I Get Where I Am Going" and "What A Friend We Have in Jesus" were played on CD. Interment followed at Vickers Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jimmy Rutherford, Alan Hughes, Christopher Rutherford, John Rutherford, Larry Baldree, Mark Baldree. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
