 Mary Kathleen Rutland, 69, of the West Berrien community died September 30, 
2003 at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta.

 Born February 12, 1934 in Berrien County to the late Joseph Ernest and Cherry 
Magnus Willis Baker, she was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She was 
married to the late Ernest Walter Rutland.

 Survivors include two sons, Doug Rutland of East Berrien and Mark Rutland of 
West Berrien; two daughters, Cherry Cornelius and Sonya Throneberry, both of 
West Berrien; one brother, one sister; 16 grandchildren, 11 great-
grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.

 Funeral services were held October 3, 2003 in the chapel of Bowen-Donaldson 
Home for Funerals with the Revs. Hody Rutland and Tim Hemingway officiating.

 Interment was in Oaky Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

 Active pallbearers were Joe Hester, Eric Mitchell, Dewayne Mitchell, Terrell 
Rutland, Jim Barber, Timmy Baker, Greg Griner, Michael Baker.

 Honorary pallbearers were Dot Carter, Helen Redding, Louise Mitchell, Marie 
Barber, Anelda Griner, Sue Baker, Melba Doris Baker, Faye Baker.

 Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals was in charge of arrangements.
