 Carolyn Ganell Shelton, 64, of Ray City died May 25, 2009, at Langdale Hospice 
House in Valdosta.

 Born May 12, 1945, in Washington, DC, to the late Hezzie Courtney and Gladys 
Elizabeth Gregan Shelton, she was a homemaker and cashier at Dollar General in 
Nashville and Ray City. She attended First Baptist Church of Ray City.

 Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Curtis and Judy Gill of Ray 
City; one grandson, Dalton Gill of Ray City; one sister, Jean Echard of 
Hyattsville, MD; two brothers, Fred Shelton of St. Michaels, MD, and James 
Shelton of Cordova, MD.

 A graveside service was held May at 12 noon at Beaver Dam Cemetery with Rev. 
Mark Swain officiating.

 Pallbearers were Jody Hamm, Curt Strickland, Howell Harpe, Jerry Mathis, Tony 
Coelho.

 Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
