 Jake Shepherd, 60, of Dalton, formerly of Nashville, died January 21, 2012, at Er
Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN.
 He was preceded in death by his parents, Carol and Eloise Shepherd. He was a m
member of Grove Level Baptist Church.
 Survivors include his wife, Connie Gibson Shepherd of the residence; daughter 
and son-in-law, Jennifer and Michael Swinford of Dalton; sons and daughter-in-law,
Wes Shepherd of Fayetteville, AR, and Jeff and Melissa Patterson of Tunnel Hill;
sister and brother
law, Wes Shepherd of Fayetteville, AR, and Jeff and Melissa Patterson of Tunnel 
Hill; sister and brother-in-law, Susan Shepherd Welch and Kenny Welch of 
Waycross; brother, Glenn Shepherd of Cisco; grandchildren, Christian and Cassie 
Harris, Jailynn Swinford, Dakota and Jordan Patterson and Hunter Miller; father-in
in-law and mother-in-law, Grady and Melba Gibson; brother and sister-in-law, Char
Charles and Marlene Gibson all of Ellijay. 
 Funeral services were held January 24 at 12:30 p.m. at Grove Level Baptist Chu
Church with Dr. Charlie Bridges and Rev. Bill Walker officiating.
 Burial was in West Hill Cemetery.
 Serving as pallbearers were Charles Gibson, Kenny Welch, Doyle Pritchett, Joe E
Edwards, Mike Patterson, Jim Beck, Robert Hice, Wayne Snyder.
 The gentlemen of Wayne Snyder’s Sunday School Class served as honorary pall
pallbearers.
 Memorial contributions can be made to the Georgia Transplant Foundation.
 Julian Peeples Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
