He served our country in the Marines from 1959 to 1965, and from there he star started to work on his own as an entrepreneur. He is predeceased by his pare parents, Earl A. and Vera Royal Shirah, and a brother, Scotty Shirah. Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Maureen Shirah; step daughter, Beverly (De (Dennis) Metras; step grandson, Joshua Kane; sisters, Jackie (Robert) Deloach and and Loujeania (Jonathan) Bruhl; brother, Joe Sam Shirah; nephews and niece, Ada Adam Shirah, Ashley Deloach and Leslie Mote.
