  Julia Faye Smith Simpson, 67, of Alapaha died April 30, 2014, at Tift Regional 
Medical Center in Tifton.
 She was born October 1, 1946, in Bartow, FL to Clarence Smith of Tifton and the 
late Eloise Arrington Smith. She was a homemaker. In addition to her mother, she 
is preceded in death by a son, Bobby Steve Simpson; daughter, Janet Virginia 
Simpson; grandchildren, Hunter Wolfe and Destinee Wolfe; and sister, Jean Ivey.
 In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband, Robert Lee Simpson 
of Alapaha; daughters, Julia Geniva Blakely of Lakeland and Jenny Jolly of 
Valdosta; brother, Roger Smith and wife, Lynn of Tifton and brother-in-law, 
Jackie Ivey of Rebecca; grandchildren, Ashley Lopez and husband, Otto of 
Virginia and Heather Lopez and husband, Czar of California; two great-
grandchildren, Olivia Catalina Lopez and Tomas Daniel Lopez.
 Funeral services were held on May 3 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Baker Funeral 
Home with the Revs. 
Freddie Stone and Rowan Sirmans officiating. 
 Interment followed in Cook County Community Holiness Church Cemetery.
 Pallbearers were Robert Tucker, Charles Glenn Arrington, Jackie Ivey, Stanley 
Carver, James Bennett  Buddy McGill.
 Baker Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
