Singletary, 66, of Nashville died December 13, 2006 at Memorial Convalescent Center of Adel. Born April 4, 1940 in Berrien County to Martha Walker Singletary of Nashville and the late Charlie Walton Singletary, he was a produce vendor and veteran of the United States Navy. His friends called him "Ruby," "Ruby Red," or "Rube." He was a U.S. Navy veteran. Survivors, in addition to this mother, include two daughters, Cecilia Dixon of Boston and Carissa Hill of Thomasville; two sisters, Ann Vickers and Gail Reynolds, both of Nashville; one brother, Charlie Singletary of Nashville; special aunt, Sara Walker; three grandchildren, Taylor Dixon, Walker Dixon, Sophia Hill. Funeral services were held Dec. 15 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with Rev. Willie Heath officiating. Buck Warren sang "Long Black Train." Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
