Singletary, 96, of Valdosta died March 20, 2005 at her residence. Born January 7, 1909 in Berrien County to the late James F. and Mary Cook Benefield, she was a homemaker and member of Azalea City Church of God. She was married to the late Oliver Singletary. Survivors include her children, Queenie Ola and Lloyd Adams of Ironton, MN, Mack Daniel and Geneva Singletary, Jessie Mae and Sterling Garnto, Charles David and Kay Singletary, Lawana Gail and Richard Palmer, all of Valdosta; 20 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren, 16 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held March 23 at Azalea City Church of God with the Revs Raymond Gabbard and Bobby Tatum officiating. Interment was in Poplar Springs Cemetery. Carson-McLane Funeral Services of Valdosta was in charge of arrangements.
