Singletary, Sr., 75, of Sylvester died April 9, 2010, at Tift R Regional Medical Center. Born April 21, 1934, in Berrien County to the late Joseph and Molly Chadwick Singletary, he had lived in Sylvester the past 36 years. He was owner and operator of Singletary and Son Tire Co. He enjoyed camping and fishing and loved his family especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He s served in the U.S. Army and was a member of Worth Masonic Lodge F&M #194. He w was a member and former deacon of Northside Baptist Church. He served on the a advisory committee of the Worth County High School Vocational Agriculture D Department. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Louise Guess Singletary of Sylvester, four sons and daughters-in-law, Willard H. "Dub" and Tammy Singletary, Jr., Mike and Karen Singletary and Mitchell T. and Tonya Singletary all of Sylvester, Rocky A. and Sharon Singletary of Valdosta; two daughters and sons-in in-law, Brenda G. and Robert Walker of McDonough and Mollie and Toby Cooper of Sylv Sylvester; 12 grandchildren, Mitchell Singletary, Christina Strickland, Amanda Bish Bishop, Cody and Dylan Singletary, Melinda Beasley, Adam, Andrew and Maggie Sing Singletary, David and Caitlyn Cooper and Madison Haralson; great grandchildren, Davi David and Lena Singletary, Ashtyn Walker, Wyatt and Camden Bishop, Walker Stri Strickland, Nathan and Drake Beasley; a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held April 12, at 11 a.m. at Northside Baptist Church wit with the Revs. David Pickard and James Chambers officiating. Wayne Hall gave a eul eulogy. Interment was in Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers were Adam Singletary, Andrew Singletary, Cody Singletary, Dylan S Singletary, David Bishop, David Cooper, Greg Beasley, Lee Strickland.
