Born in Lanier Co., to the late Carlie and Mattie Roe Sirmans, he was a retired farmer and a member of Trinity Holiness Church. Survivors include his wife, Nancy Sirmans of Ray City; one son, Jerry Sirmans of Ray City; one daughter, Brenda Arnold of Ray City; one brother, Edward Sirmans of Lakeland; six sisters, Linda Paschal, Martha Bailey, Barbara Warren, Cathy Sirmans and Arlene Brogdon, all of Lakeland, and Louise Sanders of Valdosta; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held January 13 at 2 p.m. at Trinity Holiness Church with the Revs. Hershel Smith, Freddie Stone and Vernon Hughes officiating. Terry and Mark Morgan, Sherry Carver and Becky Rogers sang "Beulah Land" and "The Dream." Interment was in Guthrie Cemetery. Pallbearers were Andy Royals, Bobby Don Brogdon, Glenn Brogdon, Jimmy Paschal, Shawn Suggs, Darrell Sirmans. Music Funeral Home of Lakeland was in charge of arrangements.
