Born January 27, 1932 in Jacksonville, FL, he was the son of the late Talley and Minnie Skinner. He was a security guard and veteran of the United States Air Force and was of the Baptist. He was married to the late Nan Sue Skinner. Survivors include four sons and daughters-in-law, Gerald and Linda Skinner of Cartersville, Ronnie and Sandy Skinner and Curt and Martha Skinner, all of Nashville, and Dennis and Hope Skinner of Tifton; three daughters and sons-in- law, Kathy and Billy Barker of Valdosta, Donna and Tim Youmans and Marsha Rollins, all of Nashville; his ex wife and best friend, Doris Rowe of Ray City; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Gaskins and Thelma Skinner and brother, T.L. Skinner. A graveside service was held March 6 at 2 p.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery in Adel with Rev. Robert Skinner officiating. Boone-Lipsey Funeral Home of Adel was in charge of arrangements.
