 Mary Janice Skinner, 68, of Adel died September 28, 2013 at Langdale Hospice Ho
House following a short illness.
 She was born June 27, 1945 in Cook County to the late Willie Briggs and Sarah L
Lou Vickers Powers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Franklin S
Skinner. She lived in Cook County all of her life and was a member of S
Springhead Baptist Church and a homemaker.
 She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis and Becky Skinner 
of Virginia Beach, VA, Stacy and Michelle Skinner of Adel, Steven and Denise 
Skinner of Nashville; three grandchildren, Sara Grace Skinner of Nashville, 
Josh Skinner and Abbie Skinner, both of Adel; two brothers, Dewayne Powers of Meigs
Meigs and Lloyd Powers of Florida; three sisters, Betty Hutchinson of Callahan, 
FL, Laquetta Vickers and Redith Bailey, both of Hahira.
 Funeral services were held October 1 at 11 a.m. at Springhead Baptist Church wit
with Dr. Danny Ray and Rev. Mickey Lindsey officiating.
 Boone Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
