The Berrien Press -- T. J. Smith, 70, of Ray City died January 10, 2007, at 
his residence.
 Born in Naylor to the late Caulie and Merritta Bass Smith, he worked for 43 
years at Moody Air Force Base as a heavy equipment operator and served in the 
U.S. Navy.
 Survivors include his wife, Ann Smith of Ray City; one son, Tommy Smith of 
Ray City; one daughter and son-in-law, Susie and Jeff Korting of Nashville; 
grandchildren, Joe Kilpatrick, Jr., Jennifer Smith, Justin Smith, Thomas 
Smith, Travis Harrell; numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; several 
nieces and nephew.
 Funeral services were held January 13 at 11 a.m. in the Lakeland Chapel of 
Music Funeral Services.
 Interment was in Beaver Dam Cemetery.
 Music Funeral Services, Lakeland was in charge of arrangements.
