 Gladys McNabb Smith, 91, of Pooler died October 29, 2005 at her residence.

 Born April 10, 1914 in Berrien Co. to the late Burrell S. and Winnie Griffin 
McNabb, she was a former employee of Union Bag. A member of Powers Baptist 
Church, she also taught Sunday school at Morningside Baptist Church for many 
years. She was a Girl Scout leader and an accomplished seamstress and cook. She 
was married to the late Hubert Hoke Smith.

 Survivors include two daughters, Maurene Tapley and Judy Hawkins; brother, 
Ruel McNabb; two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren.

 Funeral services were held Nov. 1 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Thomas C. 
Strickland and Sons Funeral Home, West Chatham Chapel.

 Interment was in Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery.

 Thomas C. Strickland and Sons Funeral Home, West Chatham Chapel, was in charge 
of arrangements.
