 Vertture Boyd Conger Smith, 89, of Nashville died Nov. 10, 2011, at Berrien Nu
Nursing Center.
 She was born Feb. 14, 1922 in Berrien County to the late Lora G. and Mary W
Wheeler Sutton. She was a homemaker and of Baptist faith. She was the widow of M
Melton "Bo" Boyd, Tom Conger and Lee Smith.
 Survivors include two daughters, Charlotte Dillard of Nashville and Mary Boyd 
of Jacksonville, FL; five sons, W.J. Boyd, Raiford Conger, Henry Boyd and Gary 
Boyd all of Nashville, Ricky Boyd of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; sister, Rosie Roland 
of Cecil; brother, Talley Sutton of Nashville; numerous grandchildren, great 
grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
 A graveside service was held Nov. 11 at 2 p.m. at Empire Cemetery with Rev. Ra
Ray Calvin officiating.
Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
