 Jerry Burdette Smith, 64, of Alapaha, died Thursday, April 23, 2015, at Tift 
Regional Medical Center.
 He was born September 16, 1950, Jacksonville, FL to Marjorie Harsey Smith of 
Alapaha and the late Harold Paulk Smith. He retired from Harveys Supermarket in 
Nashville as security enforcement. he was preceded in death by a brother, Harold 
Paulk Smith, Jr.
 Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife, Deborah Smith of 
Alapaha; two daughters, Julie (Josh) Carter of Omega and Katie Smith of Alapaha; 
three grandchildren, Emily, Zoey and Harlee; very close cousin, Bobby Smith of 
Jacksonville, FL.
 The family has honored his request for cremation and there will be no formal 
service.
 Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
