 Bernice Tillman Southerland, 86, of Nashville died June 11, 2005 at Berrien 
Nursing Center.

 Born March 23, 1919 in Colquitt County, she was the daughter of the late Rosa 
Lee Harvey and Marion J. Tillman, Sr. A homemaker and member of Pine Grove 
Baptist Church, she was married to the late A. J. Southerland.

 Survivors include one son, Dr. Billy Southerland of Nashville; three brothers, 
Theron Tillman of Coolidge, Lee Tillman and Max Tillman, both of Bainbridge; 
one sister, Dora Bates of Ft. Mill, SC; four grandchildren; nine great-
grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.

 Funeral services were held on June 13 at 11 a.m. at Pine Grove Baptist Church 
with the Revs. Richard Williams and Stanley Norman officiating.

 Interment was in Pine Grove Church Cemetery.

 Nephews served pallbearers.

 Cobb Funeral Chapel of Moultrie was in charge of arrangements.
