She was born February 17, 1946, in Mitchell County to the late C. B. and Cora Mae Dawson Mims. She was a homemaker and member of New Life Baptist Church in Adel. She was preceded in death by a son, Jason Throneberry; four brothers, Jim Mims, Edward Mims, Carl Mims and Oris Mims. She is survived by two sons, Jody (Tonya) Throneberry of Lakeland and Billy Spicer of Nashville; sister, Jean (Jim) Ragan of Sylvester; seven grandchildren, Daniel Spicer, Brooke Spells, Hailee Hunter, Kenzie Royals, Jilyah Spicer, Jessie Thronberry and Kam Thronberry. Funeral services were held August 1 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Pickern officiating. Interment followed at Westview Cemetery. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
