Born Feb. 3, 1974, in Cook County to the late Carroll Emory and Sandra Register Spikes, he was employed with the Hebel Company in Adel and was a member of Nashville Ward Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Survivors include a daughter, Jade Spikes of Valdosta; sister, Emily Lott, Ray City; maternal grandmother, Helen Register, Adel; aunts and uncles, Barbara Benson and John (Katherine) Moore, all of Alapaha, William (Margaret) Spikes of Douglas, Walter (Linda) Spikes and Tommy (Cheryl) Spikes all of Nashville, Winston (Donna) Spikes of Ocilla, Don (Bernice) Wilkerson of Tifton, Teddy (Polly) Spikes of Enigma, Joe (Linda) Maine and C.W. Register, all of Adel and numerous cousins. Funeral services were held June 20 at 11 a.m. at Nashville Ward Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints with Bishop Tommy Spikes officiating. Accompanied by Cheryl Spikes, Emily Flanders, Gary Flanders, Melissa Gill and Danny Solomon sang "I Need Thee Every Hour," "Abide With Me, 'Tis Eventide," and "God Be With You Till We Meet Again." Interment was in Willacoochee City Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Jack Wilkerson, Chris Simmons, Jason Morris, Joseph Maine, Bill Spikes, Barry Wilkerson. Honorary pallbearers were Garren Wilkerson, Jon Spikes, Michael Purvis, Craig Purvis, Teddy Spikes, Jr., Thomas Register, Jimmie Lamb, Dale Davies, Paul Lyons, Jesse Thomas, Jonathan Thomas, Earl Bristol, Wilburn Yeomans, Craig Lewis, Mitch Walker.
