Born July 15, 1947, in Berrien County to the late Chesley and Susie Luke Stanford, he was owner of Granddad’s Pest Control. He was a member of A New C Covenant Church in Ray City and an Army veteran. He was the widower of Evelyn S Stone Stanford who died in 2003. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, E Evelyn Melinda Sapp, who died in 1999 and two brothers and a sister. Survivors include his daughter, Michelle Beck of Nashville; son, Troy Stanford, Jr. of Nashville; 10 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Bea Branch, Gerline Stanford and Emalois Harrell all of Fitzgerald; t two brothers, Joe Stanford of Fitzgerald and Roy Stanford of Enigma. Funeral services were held March 19 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Jeff Palmer officiating. Mr. and Mrs. Junior Palmer sang “I’ll Fly Away” and “Glory Land,” and two songs were played on CD. Interment was in Nashville Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Mike Jacobs, Obie Branch, Roy Furney, Ray Cersey, Ken S Solomon, Chris Folsom. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
