 Hugh Dorsey Stephens, 77, of Fitzgerald died April 29, 2004 at Dorminy Medical 
Center.

 Born in Nashville to the late Charlie N. and Juanita Jenkins Stephens, he was 
a former lineman in Dougherty County for Georgia Power Company and a painting 
contractor. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was of the Primitive 
Baptist faith.

 Survivors include four daughters, Frieda Palacios, Deborah Hulett and Teresa 
Stephens all of Tifton and Donna Hill of Brookfield; three sisters, Jeanette 
Cleghorn of Albany, Jewell Roberts of Fitzgerald and Frances Teams of Telfair 
County; one brother, Donald Stephens of Fitzgerald; seven grandchildren, six 
great-grandchildren.

 Funeral services were held May 3 at 4 p.m. at Mt. Paron Primitive Baptist 
Church with the Rev. C.A. Hulett officiating.

 Interment was in Mount Paron Cemetery.

 Paulk Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
