"Jimmy" Steverson, 67, of Nashville, died Friday, Oct. 24, 2003, at T Tift Regional Medical Center. He was born Oct. 19, 1936, in Atkinson County to Allie Thomas and Minnie Floyd Steverson Steverson. He worked as a welder with Kelly Manufacturing Co., in Tifton, s served in the U.S. Air Force and was a Baptist. He is survived by his wife, Vanita Horton Steverson; a daughter and son-in-law, Dianne and Charles Vickers; a son and daughter law, Dianne and Charles Vickers; a son and daughter-in-law, Joey and Nina Steverson Steverson, all of Nashville; two sisters, Clara Gaskins, Alapaha; Nellie Smith, Callahan, Fla.; three brothers, Billy Steverson, Alapaha; Ray Steverson, Willacoochee Willacoochee; Lamar Steverson, Hilliard, Fla.; and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be today, Oct. 26, at 2 p.m. at Hope Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Pickern and the Rev. Ronnie Lawson officiating. Burial will be i in Flat Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers were William McLain, Tony Marrotti, Harold Leverett, Jimmy Ivey, Damon Griffin, Melvin Lastinger, Mike Tanton, Jimmy Martin, Donald Harnage, C Charles Sumner.
