She was born on Aug. 3, 1916, in Berrien County to Malcolm and Annie Belle Pearson McMillan. She was a homemaker and worked at Nashville Textile as a clipper and was a member of United Pentecostal Church. She was the widow of Marcus Stone who died in 1990. She was preceded in death by three sons, Laverne Stone who died in 1942, Billy Joe Stone who died in 1971 and LeRoy Stone who died in 1998. She is survived by two daughters, Betty Godwin and Elizabeth Gray, both of Sylvester; three sons, James Robert Stone, Malcolm Stone, Jesse Stone, all of Nashville; 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Poplar Springs Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert King and the Rev. Thomas Ellis officiating. Burial will be in Poplar Springs Cemetery.
