 Effie Mae Griner Stone, 85, of Lake Park, formerly of Tifton died February 9, 
2005 at her residence.

 Born September 19, 1919 in Stockton to the late Samuel and Alice Mae Dampier 
Griner, she was a homemaker and of the Church of God faith. She was married to 
the late Eugene Murdock Stone.

 Survivors include two sons, Robert Billy Fitzgerald, Sr. of Echols County and 
Steve Matthews of Tifton; two brothers, Julian Griner of Echols County and Huey 
Griner, Sr. of West Berrien; one sister, Dorothy Kendrick of Tifton; nine 
grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild.

 Funeral services were held February 12, 2005 at 11 a.m. at Tift Avenue Church 
of God with the Revs. Joseph L. Crumley and Junior Swain officiating.

 Interment was in Tift Memorial Gardens.

 Pallbearers were Coy Tawzer, Danny Jackson, Harmon Tawzer, Mike Waldrop, 
Randall Waldrop, Ronnie Griner.

 Albritton-Beaumont Funeral Directors, Tiftarea Chapel, of Tifton was in charge 
of arrangements.
