He was born February 3, 1940, to the late Olin Floyd and Nell (Williams) Stone of Nashville. He was a member of New Covenant Church of Ray City and was the owner and operator of Stoney’s Plumbing for 39 years. He loved deer hunting and antique cars. He spent his life serving his community, his church, and family. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Nan Stone, brother, Grady Stone and sister, Shirley Vickers. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Carol Ficarrotta Stone of Nashville; son and daughter-in-law, Nathan and Sue Stone of Nashville; son and finance’ David Stone and Kevin Donochad of Ashville, NC; daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Huey Obester of Nashville; daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Francisco Cruz of Winder; sisters, Virginia Ward of Valdosta, Gladys Luke of Nashville, Marvine Mathis of Ray City; eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren. A memorial celebration of life was held August 23 at 11 a.m. at New Covenant Church of Ray City. Music Funeral Services of Lakeland was in charge of arrangements.
