 James Robert Stone, 78, of Willacoochee died Thursday, September 17, 2015, at 
Tift Regional Medical Center.
 He was born September 20, 1936, in Berrien County to the late Marcus and Cora 
Lee McMillan Stone. He was a forklift mechanic for Proctor and Gamble and the 
Carlton Company and was also self-employed as Jim Forklift Service for 10 years. 
He was also owner of Dean's BBQ in Nashville. He was a four-year veteran of the 
U.S. Air Force and a member of Bible Truth Tabernacle in Tifton. He was preceded 
in death by 3 brothers, Laverne Stone, Billy Joe Stone, and Leroy Stone.
 He is survived by his wife, Nadine Harrell Stone of Willacoochee; two 
daughters, Geraldine (Steve) Strickland of Moultrie and Debbie (Junior) Stone of 
Willacoochee; son, Harold (Debra L.) Stone of Nashville; two sisters, Betty 
Godwin of Sylvester and Elizabeth Gray of Sylvester; two brothers, Malcolm Stone 
of Nashville and Jesse Stone of Nashville; seven grandchildren, 10 great-
grandchildren, and a great-great-grandson.
 The family has honored his request for cremation.
 A memorial service was held on Sunday, September 20 at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of 
Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Curtis Watson officiating.
 Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
