He suffered a stroke of paralysis while in Nashville, from which he never rallied. He had been in good health until the fatal stroke. He was 63 years old. Mr. Stone was born and reared in Berrien County and had lived all of his life in and around Nashville. He was married to Miss Malissa Griner in 1900, she having passed away about two years ago. He was well and favorably known and was considered a good farmer. Funeral services were conducted last Thursday afternoon at 5 o’clock from the Flat Creek Church, by Elder Hiram Griner and Rev. S.C. Oliff. Interment following in the church cemetery. Surviving are the following children: Mrs. Ethel May, Mrs. John Graves, and Mr. L.C. Stone, all of Nashville. There is a half-brother, Mr. Riley Stone of Nashville, and two sisters, Mrs. W.L. Overstreet of Plant City, Fla., and Mrs. Julia Griner of Valdosta.
