Born September 30, 1919 in Banks County to the late Dillard and Linnie Irene Ritch Dillard, she was a homemaker and member of Nashville First Baptist Church. She was married to the late Lumos Perry Summerford. Survivors include one daughter, Toledo Hatcher of Bloomingdale; one son, Robert Summerford of Lanier; three sisters, Myrtle Gandy and Edith Spires, both of Sparks, Hazel Gandy of Chicago, IL; one brother, Frank Mercer of Sparks; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held January 18 at 2 p.m. at Nashville First Baptist Church with the Revs. Richard Williams and Billy Southerland officiating. Teresa and Rev. B.J. Holiday sang "Leaning On the Everlasting Arms" and "Face to Face." Interment was in Westview Cemetery. Pallbearers were Bill Hatcher, Ashley Hatcher, Lyn Murray, Bobby Murray, Larry Murray, Ricky Gandy, Warren Miller, Jr., Michael Summerford. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
