ALAPAHA — Larry Dwain Sumner, 63, of Fredericksburg, Va., and Alapaha died W
Wednesday, July 21, 2010, at Satilla Regional Medical Center in Waycross as the r
result of an automobile accident.
 Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Bowen-Donaldson
Home for Funerals. The Rev. Dan Johnson will officiate, with burial to follow at
Oakridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Bowen
Donaldson Home for Funerals. The Rev. Dan Johnson will officiate, with burial

 Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
 Mr. Sumner was born on July 31, 1946 in Tifton and was the son of Glenn Sumner an
and Willie Mae Vickers Sumner, both deceased. He was a retired physicist with th
the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Dahlgren, Va. and a graduate of Valdosta St
State College and Virginia Tech. He was of the Methodist faith.
 Mr. Sumner is survived by his wife, Carolyn Hayes Sumner of Fredericksburg, V
Va., and Alapaha.
