NASHVILLE -- John Pleasant "J.P." Sutton, 75, of Nashville died Monday, May 
10, 1999 at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born May 17, 1923 in Berrien 
Co. He was a retired manager of a Shell Station and was a Army Air Corp 
Veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Baptist faith. 
 He was preceded in death by his parents Jerry Sutton and Julia Parr. He is 
survived by his wife, Letha Hewitt Sutton, Nashville; mother in law, Mamie 
Hewitt, Nashviille; two sisters, Grace Lindsey, Nashville, Carrie Lee Rowan, 
Jacksonville, FL.
 Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 12, 1999 at the Chapel 
of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary James and the Rev. Mickey Lindsey 
officiating. Interment services will be held at Long Bridge Cemetery. 
 Visitation is Tuesday after 3 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 7-9 
p.m.
