ALAPAHA--Lois Luke Swails, 70, of Alapaha, died Monday, Jan. 13, 2003 in 
Woodstock, GA.
 Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Thursday at Chapel Bowen-Donaldson Home 
for Funerals. The Rev. Bobby Fussell will officiate. Burial will follow at St. 
Luke Cemetery in Berrien Co.
 Pall bearers will be Tim Hall, Ronnie Hall, Randy Swails, Bobby Coggins, 
Wesley Luke and Larry Hayes.
 The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. tonight at Bowen-Donaldson Home 
for Funerals.
 Born Feb. 15, 1932, in Berrien Co., Mrs. Swails was the daughter of Pearlie 
Luke and Rosalee Jowers Luke, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by 
one sister.
 Mrs. Swails moved back to Alapaha in 1987 after retiring from ECI Electronics 
and was a member of St. Luke Baptist Church in Alapaha.
 She is survived by four daughters, Peggy E. McMahan and Betty S. Walter; both 
of Woodstock, Sherry A. Hart of St. Petersburg, FL, and Brenda L. Summerlin of 
Greenville, SC; two brothers, Glynnwood Luke of Nashville and Winston Luke of 
Alapaha; three sisters, Alstine Swails of Enigma, Barbara Rose of Tifton and 
Bobbie McGrady of St. Petersburg, Fl; five grandchildren; and four great-
grandchildren.
 Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals is in charge of arrangements.

Additional Comments:
Brenda L. Summerlin listed as a daughter was really her niece. Brenda was the 
daughter of her sister, Ethell Luke and Lonnie Deen. Lois & J. W. raised 
Brenda as a daughter after Ethell died.
