NASHVILLE -- Nancy Alfa Swain, 92, of Nashville died October 10, 2006, at 
Berrien Nursing Center.
 Born December 23, 1913, in Berrien County to the late Abner and Sarah Hendley 
Sirmons, she was a homemaker and member of Poplar Springs Missionary Baptist 
Church. She was married to the late Launie Swain.
 Survivors include two daughters, Laquietta Griffin and Sara Faye Jones both 
of Nashville; two sisters, Marie Connell ande Ruth Norris, both of Nashville; 
one brother, Lucious Sirmons of Valdosta; four grandchildren, nine great-
grandchildren.
 Funeral services were held October 12 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Lovein 
Funeral Home with Rev. Junior Swain officiating. Appropriate music was 
provided.
 Interment was in Poplar Springs Cemetery.
  Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
