The Berrien Press -- Herman Daniel Swilley, 69, of Gainesville died January 
21, 2007, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
 Born in Berrien County to the late Ira E. and Essie Bell Harper Swilley, he 
was employed by Servpro, Inc. and was a business developer. He was a member of 
Hopewell United Methodist Church and had served in the U.S. Army.
 Survivors include his wife, Janice Clayton Swilley of Gainesville; one 
daughter and son-in-law, Beth Swilley Rylee and Jeremy Rylee of Lula; two 
sisters, Dolores Vickers and Janice Walker, both of Alapaha; Carolyn Slovitz 
of Ocala, FL; one brother, James Swilley of Moultrie; a number of nieces and 
nephews.
 Funeral services were held January 26 at 2 p.m. at Hopewell United Methodist 
Church with the Rev. Dr. Susan Taylor officiating.
 Interment was in Hopewell United Methodist Church Cemetery.
 Mason and Ward Funeral Home of Gainesville was in charge of arrangements.
