Doris Stone Tait, 73, of Nashville died September 13, 2014, at Lake Haven 
Nursing Home after a lengthy illness.
 She was born on April 4, 1941, in Volusia, FL to the late James and Gladys 
Pearl Stone. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her 
granddaughter, Jovanna Hidalgo and grandson, Mason (Halfpint) Pierce.
 Survivors include her husband, Harry Tait, Sr. of Nashville; son, Gene Tallman 
of Peterborough, NH; daughter, Sandy Matthews of Doerun; daughter, Kristina 
Weaver of Valdosta; step-daughter, Diane Lynn Rivia; step-son, Harry Edward 
Tait, Jr.; grandson, Justin Tallman of Valdosta; granddaughter, Erica Pierce of 
Doerun; grandson-in-law, Frank Pierce of Doerun; granddaughter, Nichole Souza of 
Lakeland, grandson-in-law, Adam Souza of Lakeland; granddaughter, Victoria 
Weaver of Athens; grandson, Michael Corbin of Athens; grandson, Manny Hidalgo, 
Valdosta; grandson, Edmundo Cano of Moultrie; granddaughter, Sydney Matthews of 
Doerun; great-grandchild, Christen Pierce, great-grandchild, Haley Pierce; 
sister, Faye Turner of Elizabethton, TN; numerous nieces and nephews also 
survive.
 Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. on September 16 at Memorial Gardens 
Cemetery in Nashville.
 Music Funeral Services of Lakeland is in charge of arrangements.
